After spending a few Saturdays engrossed in the entanglements of the hottest new social scene, I realized that I was hooked. I didn't even have to change out of my comfy pants and slippers. Coffee in hand, I found a completely addicting new pass-time...Facebook. If you are thinking about jumping into the social networking scene here are the top ten reasons I love Facebook.
#10 - You don't have to unexpectedly bump into your best friend from Junior High at the grocery store you can grab life by the horns and purposely connect with every single blast from the past to see what they are up to.
#9 - Being quick witted doesn't matter. Take as long as you want to think of a clever status post.
#8 - It's a great way to hide the fact that I'm nosey. After all, if they posted it, they want you to read it. Right?
#7 - I knew a friend, who knew a friend, who knew a friend goes a long way... it really helps to pad your "friends roll call". That makes you look important. (Well, it makes ME feel important, anyway!)
#6 - Dog book. Who doesn't love dog book. It's a chance for all dog lovers to post pictures of their four legged friends and read what their dogs are up to during the day.
#5 - When you post a quote from your favorite movie, you can expect your friends to answer with things like, "It's just a flesh wound", "Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?" and "she turned me into a newt!"
#4 - I knew about my brother's emergency surgery before my mother did... I read it on Facebook.
#3 - You can tell a lot about people by what they post, the groups they join and the causes they support. Some may surprise you.
#2 - Mafia Wars. I haven't played myself, but I hear... it's addicting.
