You may have seen what I am referring to, while subscribing to your favorite magazine. Traditional publishers are offering incentives to purchase online subscriptions to their magazines to save the expenses of traditional circulation. Will holding a magazine, snuggled in your faux fur throw, and downing lattes on a chilling Saturday morning be a thing of the past? Or will the physical magazine be easily replaced by the netbook and an Internet connection?
While the printed page still holds some attraction, eBooks are becoming a fast, inexpensive way to get the information to the end user, while still maintaining the feel of flipping the page. And perhaps most importantly viewing the document as the publisher intended. Not only is this an inexpensive way to add functionality to your site, it is also very easy to maintain and make corrections to the book if mistakes are found. A plus for anyone who has ever gotten something back from the printer only to find out that they put the wrong web address on the material... a costly mistake! (Not that WE HAVE EVER done that!) Add it all up and eBooks are the way to go! I've included an eBook sample below for you to try. Flip the pages, zoom in, zoom out and skip around just as you would a traditional magazine. (Make sure to click the "full screen" button in the lower left corner to get the full effect!) Then leave your comments! I'd love to hear your reaction to this ‘2 Cool' technology!
