I had to share. I just received a phone call from FACEBOOK! I almost felt like asking if there were any job positions open but I restrained myself.

Funny. I was just reading your Twitter post saying the same thing when this email popped up. :)

I think I'm going to start using my personal twitter acct a little more. I have a feeling that my split screens will be featuring Facebook on one and Twitter on the next. LOL

This is awesome! I bet it will be used a lot because people don't necessarily want to share something with all 200 friends, but just a selective few. Great addition to FB - thanks for the notice, Ruth!

Ok everyone, I am reluctant to share this but I feel it will be a good learning experience for everyone.

I have for the past two weeks, been setting up a live Q&A session for my client that will occur with his fans on his Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Horse-Show-with-Rick-Lamb/125538424147533. This will begin tomorrow, at 7:30 pm our time. His fans will ask questions and he will answer for one hour.

The way that I have marketed this is through his eblast, blog, facebook, twitter and direct email. I don't believe that this has happened much so I will have a lot of Facebook Stalkers just learking to see how it works.

In the past 2 weeks, his page has gained a lot of new fans. I also think that during the hour, we will gain more as the friends of the fans will see the participation. Rick, my client is not too familiar with social networking and with twitter and facebook as our options, I figured facebook would have the lowest learning curve. His wife and I will be facebook chatting to help him keep up with the mass amount of questions he will receive.

Anyway, if you would like to watch the chaos, please feel free to be a stalker.

Very cool, Ruth! Maybe you can talk a little about this experience at our next MUG meeting!

Happy Wednesday everyone. For the past couple days I have been seeing polls pop up in my Facebook status. I believe it is from an app called Questions however I am unable to find it. Usually there is a link at the bottom of the app and this one does not provide one. Have any of you used a polls app before? Any success or recommendations?

BTW, I had and will have two new exciting things happening in my Facebook world that I wanted to pass on. The first is that I had an auction to raise money for the North American Riders for the Handicapped association. The only advertising beyond a press release that I did was through Facebook, our blog and on Twitter. I created a custom landing page for the interested parties would be directed to where they could watch the auction live and share through their social networks. Traffic almost doubled on some of the days to my website, Facebook hits increased tremendously...it was awesome. Anyway, we ended up raising $976 auctioning off two autographed shirts and a years supply of product from one of our partners.

Also, next week I will be having a first. I live Q&A between my client and his fans on Facebook. This should be a very interesting venture and I will let you know how it goes.

Have a great day and I am looking forward to hearing about your experience with the polls.

Well I finally figured it out. Questions is a new feature that you will find above the area where you updated your status. To add it to a page, you simply click on the icon and follow the instructions. You must be logged in under the administrators account and not act as the page.

First I want to apologize for my terrible typos above.

Second, wouldn't you know, I ask a question and then shortly after I receive a eblast with the answer. Here is more information about the questions feature. http://blog.onlinemarketingconnect.com/frame/index.php?url=http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/Mashable/~3/N57lKLlpVTU/

Not sure if it is the same, better, or worse.
